Friday Feature ~ Painted Rocks

I am here again ~ Lakeside on Lake Erie.
Painting rocks is a favorite childhood memory of mine
from the many summers I've spent here.

(Mom even has a few small ones as magnets on her refrigerator...
a sailboat, a caterpillar...)

Mine were not nearly as fancy as these, which we spotted
down the street from our cottage.
Aren't they fun?

These two rocks make me happy!!!

Do you have any rock painting stories/memories?

Wow I love the "Starry Night" rock. I used to paint rocks all the time at my grandma's house, but mostly it was with water or water colors because the rocks were slate grey and once they would dry, I could paint on them again. Hmm maybe I will paint a rock for old times sake :)

When I was little I painted rocks. Sometimes I didn't even use paint, but markers. I absolutely adore the sun and moon ones in the photos!

You know, I think I may look for some rocks to paint sometime soon. :)

Hope you're having fun lakeside!

No rock painting stories, and now I'm envious! Love the sharky.

I used to paint rocks when I was at camp. Then when I got home, I'd keep going with them. I loved it. I wonder whatever happened to all those painted rocks.

The ones you showed are pretty awesome looking.
